Hi Rob,
I’ve read many of your posts on Cocoa mailing lists and Stack Overflow. I always agree with your approach to problem solving. I wanted to know when and where you will be holding a class on Objective-C again. I just spent an entire week at WWDC and what became very clear to me is that I have a pretty shaky foundation at best when it comes to good Objective-C programming concepts. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. (I am going through the Aaron Hillegas book right now.)
Thanks,
L.
@Lawrence Leach Aaron’s book is a good start. I have no plans for any formal classes at this time, but I am thinking of some talks for the Triangle iPhone Developers Meet-up here in Raleigh, NC. And I’m planning on starting a series of more introductory blog posts here. Just recently I’ve been completely absorbed working on XMPPFramework, and haven’t had any time to post, but that should change in July.
Hi Rob,
I am great fan of you. I learn lots of new things for iphone development from you via stack over flow.I like your problem solving skills and the way you respond to developer for their problem.
In future also please share your thoughts and views via community.
Thanks, Ravi.
Hi Rob. I just wanted to mention that I have an iPhone app submitted to the app store (awaiting word on acceptance still) that allows the remote control of PandoraBoy & Airfoil via the iPhone & and a locally running server. If you’re interested in a copy to beta test, please contact me at musecontrol@gmail.com.
Thanks, John Watson
Some really nice and useful info on this website, also I believe the design holds good features.
Hi Rob. First of all, thank you for all the informations you have shared till now. I am in the process of developing a printing application for iPhone. Printing happens through a dedicated remote server, I just need to send the, to be printed, documents to this server. I am facing an issue and have been unable to get around it for a long time now. It would be very helpful, if you can provide me some inputs or suggestions in this regard.
The issue is :
I am facing problems in accessing the documents spread across various apps. I have registered for a good number of file-types. With this approach, only apps which have implemented document interaction will show my app in their “open-in” option (ex safari, mail). But what about rest of the files in apps which do not implement the document interaction controller ? (like photos in the default photos app, documents in iBooks etc)
This limitation seriously hinders the purpose of my app.
What is the best way to let every body know that my app is capable of handling print requests ? How to I hook into their action sheets etc ?
Pardon me, if this was the wrong place to contact you. If you want me to communicate with you through mail, then please let me know here mahesh.dhabade@gmail.com
I bought your book on iTunes, where can I get the source code that goes with it?
http://iosptl.com/code has the link to github.
